The Moduon M1 is designed to follow your vehicle wherever you dare to drive. With an impressive 34° departure angle and 17" rims, it clears obstacles with ease. The suspension is designed for reliability in the bush, utilizing 1.5 ton leaf springs (with optional shock absorbers) and 1.8 ton axle that are simple to maintain in remote areas.

The M1 features a standard track width of 1690mm which can be customized to match your specific tow vehicle. This alignment allows the trailer to follow in your tow vehicle's tracks, significantly reducing drag when driving through sand or mud.

The body and frame is constructed entirely from mild steel. Unlike aluminium or stainless steel, which can be prone to fatigue cracking at weld points, mild steel offers superior ductility and long-term durability. The chassis design features a special cut-out to spread towing stress over a larger span of the A-frame, eliminating stress concentration points and negating the risk of fatigue cracking.

The frame is finished with durable stone chip protection with a fully galvanized chassis option available. The bumper, fenders and mudguards are easily removable and inexpensive to replace. The main body of the trailer is powder coated in a colour of your choice. To protect the front powder coating the trailer is fitted with sacrificial armor that is easy to touch-up with stone chip paint and if neccesary easily replaceable. 

Forget fighting with poles and pegs for an hour. The M1 features a Howling Moon XT Classic tent that sets up in under 10 minutes. Constructed from 380gsm high fluorocarbon impregnated ripstop canvas with double-stitched seams, it withstands the harshest weather. Comfort is guaranteed with a 100mm high-density foam mattress, while the standard side and kitchen awnings provide immediate shade. Whether it’s a quick overnight stop or a long stay, you are relaxing while others are still unpacking. A tailgate patio and add on room is also available (as pictured) as well as a nose cone patio - and all of this can be enclosed with side walls.

A tent from another manufacturer can also be fitted but needs to be discussed in advance to ensure mounting points are added for the specific tent.

Packing anxiety is a thing of the past with over 3000 liters of packing space. The M1 features a cavernous interior accessible via two flip-down doors that double as work surfaces. You can opt for up to six long-extension drawers (1219mm pull-out length) which are perfectly sized to fit three standard ammo boxes each, or customized with dividers and foam inserts for delicate gear. We’ve even included a 900mm rail to hang clothes, keeping your jackets and shirts crease-free.

Cooking in the bush shouldn't feel like a compromise. The standard heavy-duty fridge slider accommodates up to a 95-liter fridge, ensuring you have ample food and drinks for long trips. It extends 1219mm for easy access and features an additional slide-out table for prep space. Combined with the flip-down door surfaces, you have a functional, ergonomic kitchen layout that makes preparing family meals effortless.

We believe you should tow your gear, not just heavy steel. The M1 has a remarkably low Tare weight of just 470kg (excluding tent), but is built on a robust 1800kg braked axle with a GVM of 1600kg. This gives you a massive payload capacity to load water, fuel, wood, and gear without exceeding legal limits.

Stability starts with geometry. The M1 allows for a track width of 1690mm (customizable to suit your vehicle), meaning the trailer runs in your towing vehicle’s tracks. This significantly reduces drag in sand and mud, making towing safer and more fuel-efficient. Hitching up is effortless thanks to the flip-up jockey wheel, which retracts instantly—no need to detach it and find storage space for a greasy jockey wheel inside your car.

We know that camping involves firewood, wet tarps, and charcoal. The M1 features a dedicated wood and dirty gear holder fitted on top of the large nose cone. This keeps the mess outside the trailer and prevents dust and ash from contaminating your clean bedding or food supplies inside. Additionally, two rear-mounted gas bottle holders ensure your fuel is safely stored and easily accessible.

Accessing your gear should be convenient, but keeping it safe is priority. The M1 features keyed-alike panel locks throughout. This means you only need one key to access every door and compartment on the trailer—no more fumbling through a bunch of keys in the dark to find a torch or a snack.

The M1 is built to take a beating. The full steel body construction is finished with a durable powder coating available in various colors to match your style. Critical areas like the nose cone are fitted with replaceable stone guards, and the rear bumper is designed for easy swapping. This modular approach to maintenance ensures that if you damage a part on a tough trail, it can be repaired or replaced without expensive structural work.
